Intelligent Phishing Training Tool

The complexity of protecting information in a digital world, leads to huge losses from cyberattacks. This is a growing problem horizontally across all industries, countries, and organizations, but recently it has become particularly pronounced in the SME segment, which does not have either nationally regulated security measures or sufficient resources and expertise to protect data.

Together with the Lithuanian start-up TrustGuru, Secure Practice is developing an intelligent tool for training purposes, in particular to protect better against phishing attacks. Our collaboration is based on sampling text in malicious emails, and dynamically generating new variants of phishing emails for training purposes. The phishing email generator will support our with the latest digital text and speech technologies to expand on features beyond what is currently available in the market.

Our research will further aim to improve a method to dynamically augment phishing templates with real-life text, to create realistic messages to the recipient. The value for users will be personalization of such messages according to the recipient's profile, making simulation of even truly targeted attacks a possibility at scale. This new phishing simulator capability will increase product users' awareness of cybercrime and enable customers to better protect themselves against the increasing degree of sophistication in phishing attacks.
